Rush and Stall in Guildrun
Rush(X) means the effect stays active for X seconds. Stall(X) means the effect happens after waiting X seconds. The value belongs to that specific effect, so Rush and Stall do not use one universal timer.
What Rush(X) means
When an effect says For Rush(X), it is describing a benefit that is active during that X-second window. Use the linked ability, specialization, item, or relic entry instead of importing a number from a different record.
For example, The Executive (Niklas) has “For Rush (15), gain Shields per equipped item.” The Hoarder also belongs to Niklas, but its linked passive text uses Rush (20) and a different trigger: when a Vanguard or Tank is auto attacked while using that choice. The current snapshot therefore gives two different values and two different effect shapes on the same hero's choice sheet.
What Stall(X) means
When an effect says After Stall(X), it is describing a result after that X-second delay. The game's current examples record Sanctuary of Bloom for Pollen (15 seconds) and Salvation for Grace (20 seconds). Pollen's text heals after Stall (15); Grace's text says the ability can target and resurrect dead Heroes after Stall (20). These examples are why this guide does not flatten every Stall effect to 15 or 20 seconds.
“On Stall trigger” is a different wording from “After Stall(X).” Rowan’s The Friend says that Rowan permanently gains Max HP and Defense on a Stall trigger, with a separate Backup Only clause. It does not state that the permanent gain itself is a 15- or 20-second buff.
A relic example: Duelist's Profusion Filigree
Duelist's Profusion Filigree currently says “After Stall (10),” then gives Duelists an extra nearest-enemy hit on auto attack with on-hit effects. The official 0.5.9 notes record this as a change from 12 to 10, so the local snapshot and the official note agree on the current value. This is a relic-specific effect, not a global Stall rule.
Patch 0.5.10 adds context rather than new values for this guide: Leyline's announcement lists a timing fix for seven class items, Trial reward display, and the 1v1 Trial title mismatch. The examples above remain labeled 0.5.9.
Common misunderstandings
- “Every Rush lasts 15 seconds.” The local examples above resolve Rush(15) for The Executive and Rush(20) for The Hoarder. Read the value on the effect you are checking.
- “Every Stall lasts 20 seconds.” Pollen's Sanctuary of Bloom records 15 seconds while Grace's Salvation records 20 seconds.
- “A trigger is the same as a timed window.” “On Rush trigger” and “On Stall trigger” are event wording; “For Rush(X)” and “After Stall(X)” carry a value that belongs to that effect.
- “A tag proves the full behavior.” Use the linked game text. The Hoarder specialization sheet carries a Stall tag, while its passive description explicitly uses Rush (20); the description is the safer mechanism source for this comparison.
- “The 0.5.10 announcement updates these values.” It does not change the examples shown here; they remain labeled client 0.5.9 · build 25323618.
